Keep track of MYK certificate validity
The validity, surveillance and renewal rules of a Turkish MYK vocational qualification certificate are set in each national qualification, so there is no single period (MYK Certification Regulation, Article 27(1)); Real Estate Agent runs 5 years, Steel Welder 2 or 3. The holder applies for renewal before expiry.
Under Türkiye's MYK (Vocational Qualifications Authority) Examination, Measurement, Evaluation and Certification Regulation, the validity period, surveillance and renewal conditions of a Vocational Qualification Certificate are set in the relevant national qualification (Article 27(1)). So there is no single period: for example, the Real Estate Agent (Level 4) qualification gives a 5-year certificate, while the Steel Welder (Level 3) qualification gives 2 or 3 years depending on the method chosen, with surveillance every 6 months.
Certificates are renewed by an authorised certification body when the holder applies before the certificate expires. The application can go to the body that issued the certificate or to another body authorised for that national qualification (Article 27(2)).

Who is responsible?
The certificate holder applies for renewal (Article 27(2)). Employers that require the certificate from staff may also want to track the expiry dates.
If the deadline passes
The Regulation ties renewal to an application made before the certificate expires (Article 27(2)). What happens after expiry, and whether a certificate is suspended if surveillance cannot be done, is set in each national qualification; for example, under the Steel Welder qualification, certificates are suspended when surveillance cannot be carried out for reasons attributable to the holder.
A second record for the renewal application
The renewal application must be made before expiry, and some qualifications require an exam or work records for renewal. You cannot change ExpirySuite's reminder timings, so if you want to start earlier, add a second record called "renewal application" with a date of your choice. That record also gets reminders 60, 30, 14, 7 and 1 days before.
