Türkiye's dangerous goods driver certificate (SRC5) is valid for 5 years and is renewed with refresher training in its final year plus the ministry exam. Drivers get 4 exam attempts after refresher training; if all fail, initial training must be repeated. Carriers may only assign drivers holding a valid SRC5.
Drivers carrying dangerous goods in Türkiye obtain the Dangerous Goods Transport Driver Training Certificate (SRC5) after training at a ministry-authorised institution and passing the ministry exam. The certificate is valid for 5 years.
To renew it, the driver takes refresher training in the certificate's final year and passes the ministry exam again. Candidates who complete refresher training have 4 exam attempts; if all are used, the initial training must be repeated.

Who is responsible?
The certificate belongs to the driver; the carrier must assign dangerous-goods transport only to drivers holding an SRC5 certificate matching the class of goods carried.
Why an early reminder matters
Refresher training and the exam must be completed within the certificate's final year, so a 60-day reminder alone may be too late. When you add the certificate, create a second record for "refresher training" dated one year before the expiry.
